This week I bring you an appropriate idiomatic expression:
Estoy a dos dedos de algo nuevo.
(a dos dedos de equals the English idiom “on the verge of”)
which in English translates to, I’m on the verge of something new!
Why is this appropriate this week, you ask?
Well, because I have a new “side blog” brewing for you language lovers! I hope to launch it this week, so that next Translation Tuesday will be located there.
When I launch the new site, I will be dedicating Tuesdays to only the word/phrase of the week (maybe even in other languages!), and will use the rest of the week to bring you other language-related articles, along with my updates on my daughter’s Spanish (nothing really new to report this week!). I’m really excited about having two spaces to organize my writing more. I’ll also be importing all these TT posts over to the new site so everything’s in one place.
