I meal plan too. I use a 3-ring binder with 'Avery' brand page protectors. This allows me to insert my recipes from where they come from, into a clean book. I can cook with it in the kitchen and then just wipe the recipe fingerprints or pan spatters right off the page. One of my favorite websites for very tasty, family-friendly meals is kraftfoods.com! I applaud you for keeping the art of meal planning alive!!

I have been meal planning for a while now, and we too like our leftovers. I sit down on Sundays and plan my meals for the week. On Mondays I go grocery shopping for the items I need for only this week's meals as well as restocking the pantry of commonly used itmes. I look at my menu and serving sizes and usually plan at least one "leftovers" day a week. This seems to work well for us, a family of 4, and my husband can now take his coveted sandwiches for lunch instead of being responsible for cleaning up the leftovers.

I have really been wanting to get into meal planning more, so thanks for the inspiration! My concern is that I won't be able to plan down to the day because we are a leftovers type family (i.e. I cook big meals and then we eat them for a few days, but I never know how long leftovers will last). But I like your idea of making the plan flexible. Thanks!

I have been planning my meals for a few years now and I find that I am so less frustrated every evening having a plan in place. I used to stand in front of the refrigerator, never knowing what to make. This way, I have a plan and it is better for everyone!

I would love you to pass on some recipes! That is where I fall short...new ideas:)
