I’ve been collecting some great starred posts in my reader for a while now, but just haven’t quite gotten around to getting a round-up put together with all the holiday fun/terrible cold & cough. With a little breather between Christmas and New Year’s (and I’m finally breathing a little better myself) I figured now was the time to go for it!
Crafty
- Whip Up has an awesome “best of crafting guides” link list
- I’d love to make Chiquita this adorable bandanna skirt, found via Creative Bliss
- Plum Pudding has some links for beginning embroidery help
- Melissa over at Blissful Home shows us some cute fabric-covered books
Roundup of Holiday Thoughts ~ as we continue to consider how our family will celebrate Christmas, I’m thankful for all the great ideas in the blogosphere to inspire us and make us think. I may not agree with everything in all the posts I’ve read, but they’ve been great resources, and I’ve already found some awesome ideas that I look forward to incorporating into our Christmas next year.
- Joy’s Hope brings symbolism to gift-giving with the number three
- Shawn & Sarah plan to move gift-giving away from Christmas day
- Ali from Mama Manifesto is going to incorporate a Gratitude Box into the Christmas gift tradition
- We’ve debated quite a bit about Santa in our household, and I’ve yet to find a better way to compromise on it than how Toblerone (aka Simple Mom) explains it over at Better Things Ahead
Other Good Reads
