Sew Much To Do

One of the reasons I needed a break from blogging was to finish up a few sewing projects. I still have a big one to be finished (a quilt I’m making as a gift) but I was able to finish a couple of things, including this shirt (similar to one I made myself a few months ago)- an early birthday present for my sister-in-law. I wanted to get it done before the cold Indiana weather set in, so she’d actually get to wear it, even though her birthday’s still more than a month away. I think it came it out darling!

I’ve been going to town on these zipper pouches too {more about these a little later!}. These are a few I made for my Women of Faith conference buddies (what’s a women’s get away without a little swag of some kind?).

A couple of other recent birthday presents I made were a tote bag for my friend Sarah, who loves the Wizard of Oz (as soon as I saw this fabric I knew I had to make her something out of it),

and a zipper pouch for my friend Rena, who loves fall. I used a pattern from Sew, Mama, Sew by Sarah Jane Studios.
